Martino Peña Fernández-Serrano
Architect from the UPV and Doctor of Architecture from the UPM. Lecturer and
Researcher (PDI) at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) in Architectural Design
since 2024. Associate Professor at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de
Cartagena at the UPCT until 2023. Guest lecturer at the Universität Siegen in the
Fakultät Architektur and at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PCUP). His
doctoral thesis 'Artefactos energéticos. From Fuller to Piñero (1961-1972)' obtained
the Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2015-2016 from the Polytechnic University of
Madrid. He gives different seminars in different universities among others TU Berlin
(Germany), Feng Chia University. Taichung (Taiwan), Sarvajanik College SURAT
(India) and RTU Riga. He combines his teaching work with his professional work, co-
founder of TXLarquitectos in 2003, and Martino Peña arquitectos since 2019,
awarded in different competitions of ideas whose results have been published in
different magazines.
