The wide road space shall be transformed into a continuous artificial landscape and has to be able to create new and versatile situations and it invites to the different activities of urban life. In order to make possible the redesign of the Avenue, the traffic must radically change. From now on, the pedestrian is the real protagonist. The traffic has to adapt itself and run through the new created topography: the new roads, the separated lane, brakes the car drivers. The new situation redirects and forces the drivers so that the speed reduction will be assured. The use of materials supports the concept: not a pedestrian crossing the road, but the car has to cross the pedestrian area.
