POLIEDRO DESPLEGADO | FECONS | PROMOTER: CARM | MARTINO PEÑA | 80m²
The proposal, known as the unfolded polyhedron, is based on a modular system that allows for different Pavilion configurations to accommodate the requirements of different national and international trade fairs. From a basic module, the different solutions are obtained by addition. The geometry of the basic polyhedron is based on those imagined by Emilio Pérez Piñero for his deployable structures, more specifically those formed by three rods that meet in the middle. The basic polyhedron is built from triangles of side 3.50 m and whose sides are 60º apart, as Buckminster Fuller said nature builds its artifacts using coordinate axes 60º apart from each other, as this arrangement is the one that allows the most efficient energy transactions.
